65th Miss Universe is Iris Mittenaere from France


Besting other eight five global beauties Twenty four years of age, Iris Mittenaere, lady from Paris won the 65th edition of Miss Universe crown. In front of a global audience, Iris was crowned as the new Miss Universe at Mall of Asia Arena in Manila, Philippines who hosted Miss Universe pageant for the third time. Iris Mittenaere, who is pursuing a degree in dental surgery, is fond of extreme sports, travelling the world and cooking new French dishes. As Miss Universe, she will be campaigning for dental and oral care around the world.

The grand coronation of Miss Universe pageant held on 30th January 2017 saw Raquel Pelissier from Haiti as the first runner-up, while Andrea Tovar of Colombia was placed at second runner-up position. The competition had thirteen finalists who were been picked for the swimsuit round of the finals after a preliminary competition last week. From here on best of nine were sort listed for the evening gown segment, and then to six. Other than top three queens of 65th edition of Miss Universe, rounding out the top six were Maxene Medina of the Philippines, Chalita Suansane of Thailand and Mary Esther Were of Kenya.

The most spectacular event of brain, beauty, glamour, glitz and fashion were been judged by six prominent personalities. Among them three were former Miss Universe. Leila Lopes Miss Universe 2011 from Angola, Sushmita Sen Miss Universe 1994 from India and Dayanara Torres Miss Universe 1993 from Puerto Rico. In the event hosted by American presenter Steve Harvey; Rapper Flo Rida and R&B group Boys II Men provided entertainment.
