Hollywood actress Angelina Jolie, who removed breasts due to cancer, has removed ovaries and Fallopian tube as a preventive measure against the deadly disease.
The 39-year-old actress revealed it through her article in the New York Times, adding that she underwent surgery after danger was seen after blood test. Her mother and grandmother had died of ovarian cancer.
“My doctors indicated I should have preventive surgery about a decade before the earliest onset of cancer in my female relatives,” Jolie wrote in the New York Times. “My mother’s ovarian cancer was diagnosed when she was 49. I’m 39.”
