The 25-year-old entrepreneur Audry Chen stood out as the winner of premier edition of Miss Mermaid Singapore 2016 held on 6th of September 2016 at Village Changi Hotel, Singapore.
Besides being the winner among twelve of the finalists Chen was also successful at three of other categories – Miss Popularity, Top Influencer Award and Best Talent. Being the winner of Miss Mermaid Singapore Audry would now will head to Egypt to represent Singapore at the Miss Mermaid International competition.
The event was been choreographed and Co-hosted by Nepalese Fashion Choreographer Rojin Shakya. Mr. Shakya a highly accomplished and multifaceted professional with an extensive experience in fashion choreography, pageantry training and media had earlier choreographed the international pageants like Miss Heritage International and Mrs. Heritage International.
Miss Mermaid Singapore 2016 was been organized by E Planet Singapore an international branch of E Planet Pvt. Ltd. In the event Ng Shi Xin stood first runner-ups while Esther Ang was positioned as second runner-ups. Both Ng Shi and Esther were also successful to hold the awards of the face of Mermaid 2016 Ambassador and Ambassador of the year 2016 respectively.
The event was also honored with registration of record at Singapore Book of Records for presenting maximum number of mermaids at a time on the stage. The event was focused in conserving and promoting the marine life. The event took off with the performance by the contestants in the mermaid dressed and followed by the rounds of local street wear fashion, bikini wear and ended with the cocktail wear round. The contestants also did face the judges in the question answer session.
