Fashion Secrets Revealed

Royal Treasure Fashion Secrets, the show organized by Nepal Institute of Fashion, NIF. The unfolding of Fashion Secrets moved with the five of the promising fashion designers who were seen blending their creativity, imagination and effort to make each piece of clothing turn into a master piece.


Rojin Shakya | The evening of 14th February 2017 became fashionably romantic when secrets on style and glamour got unfolded on the runway set for Royal Treasure Fashion Secrets, the show organized by Nepal Institute of Fashion, NIF. The unfolding of Fashion Secrets moved with the five of the promising fashion designers who were seen blending their creativity, imagination and effort to make each piece of clothing turn into a master piece.

The show had eight round sequences, five being solo collection while remaining three were the output of their joint effort. Utkrist Khadka presented collection named Zen featuring the dresses most on hourglass silhouette where the designer was found in love with the colors like grey, black and white. The designs were played on the fabrics like solid and organic cotton, chiffon, lycra blend cotton etc. Another male designer for the evening, Banshi Khadka showcased his collection under the name Harmony. In this collection fitted and A-line silhouettes were the highlights. The fabrics like raw silk, velvet, net and lycra were found mostly been used while colors like maroon, black, aqua blue, yellow ochre were seen as the major colors.

The show had three female designers who showcased their solo collection. Reeya Maharjan presentation were mostly based on A line and hourglass silhouettes while she was seen comfortable with the fabrics like spandex mixed fabric, net, velvet and raw silk. Her collection was seen mostly been played on the colors like black, white, blue and red. Designer Shawana Begum came up with the collection named Euphoria where the dresses on hour glass silhouettes took the runway. The colors like pink, blue, light green and white were the majors in this collection while the fabrics like chiffon, satin, georgette were got life in her collection. Designer Anita Lohani was seen playing with the loose fitted silhouettes where fabrics like printed georgette cotton and tie-dye fabric got the dress form. Her collection named as boho-splendor dresses mostly presented in the colors like yellow ochre, white and blue.

The show Choreographed by Pritam Shrestha Karanjit had other three sequences named couple wear, Made in Nepal and Royal. The couple wear had various range of attires complementing to romance and compassion while dresses made from Nepali based fabric and inspired from Nepalese life style were presented in the round called Made In Nepal. The royal influence from the back ground of Kings Era was seen much dominated in the Royal sequence.

As told by Amit Jha the man behind by the show, the event is all about promoting promising designer and creating professional environment to excel their career in fashion designing. The event managed by Aashish Pandey saw Actress Barsha Siwakoti, Actor Sid Kharel, International Nepali model Deepak Ghimire, Anita Limbu and media person/ model Shuva Achary as the show stoppers. The event went all long to midnight where performers like Nirnaya Shrestha, Ravi Rimal, Prasant Myst, Mahadev Tripathi and others delivered the entertainment.
