Actress Richa Sharma is currently in Chitwan to construct houses for poor. Some 36 houses are being constructed at Ratnanagar of Chitwan district in collaboration with two organizations. Youth ambassador of the campaign, Richa is constructing houses with her own hand.
“If someone believe our works we have to request to involve in such acts,” she said, “As an actress, it’s my responsibility. I am very happy to be involved in social works and considering myself lucky.”
Houses are being constructed in participation of some five hundred people including 400 volunteers of Habitat International. People have been divided into groups with 15 members to build houses in six days.
Richa is constructing house no 13. Earlier, Habitat has already provided house to 50,000 families around the globe. The international organization aims to construct one hundred thousand houses by 2016. It plans to build over 100 houses in Pokhara next year.
